Commonwealth Construction did an amazing job renovating our kitchen, dining room and stairway which included changing the layout of our kitchen and removing part of a wall to expose the stairway.  Mark, Chris, and the team were knowledgeable and professional, helping bring our ideas together into a concept and layout that we couldn’t be happier with.  Mark & Chris were always very responsive and provided updates on the schedule which stayed on track with initial estimates.  My father, who had been in the construction business, is a perfectionist and consistently commented on how great a job they were doing and has since recommended Commonwealth to others.  Following the completion of the first job, we hired Commonwealth to replace 10 windows and a doorway in our sunroom and similar to the kitchen renovation, we are very happy with the results.  We would absolutely hire Commonwealth again! 

I have nothing but the absolute highest praise for Mark and Chris and their outstanding crew at Commonwealth Construction & Design, LLC. They exceeded all of my expectations as they build a beautiful custom deck for my home. Working with Mark and Chris was a breath of fresh air. Mark responded extremely quickly to any and all of my texts or emails. Everyone at Commonwealth Construction and Design showed the utmost respect for their client’s time with clear, honest and very accurate communication–there was no guessing or wondering what my deck would look like or how long it would take, Mark was an exceptional communicator. The professionalism, cleanliness and responsibility they showed while working on property was amazing–I hardly knew they were building outside my back door! They were quiet, unobtrusive, and very respectful of us and the property. The deck itself is a masterpiece. Chris has an artist’s eye and was so helpful with his suggestions as far as material, color and use of space–he is truly a construction visionary! They were even able to construct a custom swing gate to help with our dogs, and it is the envy of the neighborhood! I am so thrilled with our gorgeous deck and outdoor space. I can’t say enough about Mark and Chris–they would be the only construction company I would use for any custom home projects.

I was looking for someone to finish off my dark, cobwebby basement which hadn’t ever been improved.  Commonwealth Construction came in and did an amazing job! My downstairs went from being an area I avoided to my favorite part of the house. Mark and Chris were professional, available whenever I had questions, and did beautiful custom carpentry for me.  They were prompt and courteous and had great suggestions for the project. I appreciated that they were always on time and left the finished project spotless. I would recommend them wholeheartedly! 

“I lucked out with these guys.” I was ready to have the front of my home refaced with new windows, doors and clapboard. I gave them my somewhat of a budget that they were able to work with and Mark and Chris drafted a detail quote. Any time I had a question, they text or phoned me in a timely manner. They did the work for me  and I’ll have to say that their work is impeccable. Nice friendly guys. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

During a time when home improvement contractors have been extremely busy, it was reassuring to work with your team because every call we made was answered quickly and politely – which might sound like a requirement but anyone who has worked with other contractor’s might know this not to be the case.  It’s sometimes hard to even get a call back. Most importantly, the quality of your work was great, and while living in our home during a major kitchen renovation, you guys managed to keep everything very clean on a daily basis and we appreciated that.

After having 10+ contractors either never answer or ghost us after the first call, my wife and I couldn’t be happier we found Chris and Mark to do the work for our three season porch.  From start to finish, they were incredibly responsive with the status of the project and expertly accommodated minor design changes as it moved along.  Ultimately, we now have a porch that everyone who walks in comments on how amazing it looks.  Looking forward to using the guys again when it comes time for our next project – we can’t recommend them enough!
